Our Ableton Producer Program is a 120-hour course, that has been designed for aspiring music producers wanting to cut through. This is world-class training and mentoring of the highest order in the Ableton Live Suite. Students produce a fit-for-release project of their own work, that will see them gain Garnish’s own Ableton Producer certificate upon successful completion of the program.
Students will get to learn sampling and audio manipulation, building beats, composition, genre analysis, mixing and mastering, music theory for electronic music, sound design and advanced synthesis. We will introduce them to the world of Max for Live, giving them the skills to potentially build their own sound creation tools. We will also focus on Ableton as a performance instrument working with midi controllers, hardware and outboard gear (Analogue and modular synths). Students also learn marketing techniques and music business as it pertains to the world of Electronic Music, arming them with the tools to both conceptualise, create and market their product.
Students will develop their skillset amidst the exclusive surroundings of Brightside Studios in Surry Hills.
Throughout the 120 hours, there will be carefully positioned mentoring sessions that allow the student to get the most from their mentors. This is designed not only to allow assimilation of what’s been learned, but to uncover blind spots, unlock their creativity, and inspire them toward greater success.
